Istanbul, June 30 – As summer temperatures rise and water consumption increases, Istanbul’s vital dam basins are experiencing a noticeable decline in water levels. According to official data from the Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration (ISKI) on June 30, the general occupancy rate of the dams has fallen to 64.01%, a decrease of 0.59% from the previous day’s 64.6%.
This downward trend in water reserves, observed at the beginning of the summer season, highlights the critical importance of water conservation for the upcoming months of July and August. ISKI officials continue to issue calls for residents to use water sparingly.
