Truck Overturns in Bakırköy: Driver Injured, Road Closed
Istanbul, May 21 – A truck overturned in Istanbul’s Bakırköy district after colliding with an overpass, injuring its driver. The incident, which occurred on Strasburg Street, led to the temporary closure of the road as emergency teams worked to clear the scene.
Details of the Accident
The accident took place when a truck, with license plate 59 AEP 575, driven by M.Ö., struck an overpass on Strasburg Street and subsequently overturned. The driver, M.Ö., sustained injuries in the collision.
Upon receiving the notification, police, fire, and health teams were immediately dispatched to the area. Medical personnel provided initial aid to the injured driver, who was then transported by ambulance to a hospital for further treatment.
Road Closure and Recovery Efforts
Due to the accident, Strasburg Street was closed to traffic to facilitate the recovery operation. A crane was brought to the scene to lift the overturned truck. After the truck was successfully removed, the road was reopened to traffic.
