Turkish Airlines (THY) has officially unveiled its newly renovated Domestic Passenger Lounge at Istanbul Airport, which is now open to serve passengers. The announcement was made by the THY Communications Department, detailing the extensive upgrades and new features.

The new passenger lounge spans approximately 4,500 square meters and is designed to accommodate 484 passengers, featuring 10 boarding gates. This significant expansion and modernization project underscores THY’s commitment to enhancing the travel experience for its premium passengers.
Exclusive Experience for Business Class and Elite Plus Passengers
Turkish Airlines aims to offer a unique pre-flight experience for its Business Class and Elite Plus passengers. The revamped lounge is meticulously designed to meet the high standards expected by these travelers, providing a comfortable and luxurious environment before their flights.
‘Flow/Akış’ Concept: Nature-Inspired Ambiance
The design of the new lounge is based on the ‘Flow/Akış’ concept, emphasizing natural textures, biophilic design principles, and a warm material palette. This approach creates a serene and inviting atmosphere, seamlessly blending modern aesthetics with elements inspired by nature.
Comprehensive Amenities for Every Traveler
The lounge offers a wide array of amenities to cater to diverse passenger needs. These include dedicated rest and dining areas, individual and shared workspaces, and a rich selection of complimentary refreshments. A unique feature is the open-air terrace, providing a refreshing outdoor experience.
Additional Facilities for a Complete Experience
Beyond the main areas, the renovation project also incorporated a children’s play area, additional workspaces, private shower facilities, prayer rooms, television areas, and various relaxation zones designed for different passenger profiles. The open-air terrace, with a capacity for approximately 52 people, offers a spacious and airy environment for travelers to unwind.
