Two Suspects Remanded in Custody Over Fatal Stabbing in Ankara
ANKARA (AA) – Two suspects have been remanded in custody following a violent stabbing incident in Ankara’s Çubuk district that left one person dead and six others injured. The incident, which occurred in Atatürk Mahallesi, led to the apprehension of six individuals, with two now facing charges.
The altercation, which began two days ago on Kahraman 2 Street in Atatürk Mahallesi, initially involved R.B. and P.B. with B.K. The dispute quickly escalated into a knife fight when B.K.’s relatives, H.K., S.Ç.K., O.K.B., and Mahmut Yiğittekin (31), became involved.
During the violent confrontation, Mahmut Yiğittekin tragically lost his life at the scene, as confirmed by health teams. The six other individuals involved – R.B., P.B., B.K., H.K., S.Ç.K., and O.K.B. – sustained various injuries and were subsequently taken to several hospitals in Ankara for treatment.

Upon their transfer to the courthouse, S.Ç.K. and O.K.B. were released after questioning by the prosecutor. However, R.B. and P.B. were brought before the duty magistracy, which ordered their arrest and remand into custody.
Furthermore, B.K. and H.K. were placed under judicial control, which includes a house arrest order, reflecting the severity of their alleged involvement in the incident.
