SANKON and Ghana Embassy Discuss Strengthening Economic and Trade Relations in Ankara

Ankara, (DHA) – Ferudun Cevahiroğlu, President of the Confederation of Industrialists and Businessmen (SANKON), met with H.E. Abdul Nasiru Deen, the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Ankara, to discuss economic and trade relations between Turkey and Ghana. The meeting, held at the Ghanaian Embassy in Ankara, underscored the commitment of both parties to enhance bilateral cooperation.

Commitment to Stronger Economic Ties

Ambassador H.E. Abdul Nasiru Deen received Ferudun Cevahiroğlu and the accompanying SANKON delegation. During the meeting, Ferudun Cevahiroğlu emphasized the importance SANKON places on economic and trade relations between the two nations. “As the SANKON Board of Directors, we attach great importance to the economic and commercial relations between the two countries. Our strong cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Ankara will continue resolutely in the coming years to further strengthen our relations,” Cevahiroğlu stated.

Cevahiroğlu also highlighted that the relations between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Ghana have reached their highest levels, particularly during the tenure of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. He added, “As SANKON member companies, we are ready to take part in projects such as construction, energy, technology, health, infrastructure, and superstructure in the Republic of Ghana.”

Ghana Invites Turkish Companies for Development Projects

In response, H.E. Abdul Nasiru Deen, the Ambassador of the Republic of Ghana to Ankara, expressed his gratitude for the visit. “First of all, I would like to thank you for your visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Ankara as the President of SANKON. Our relations with Turkey are advancing to higher levels every year. Our strong cooperation with the SANKON organization will continue resolutely in the coming periods to contribute to the economic and commercial relations between the two countries,” said Ambassador Deen.

Ambassador Deen extended an invitation to SANKON member companies to participate in projects in the Republic of Ghana. He affirmed that the Embassy of Ghana in Ankara is ready to provide all necessary facilities and support for such engagements.

The discussions signify a mutual desire to deepen economic partnerships, leveraging the existing strong diplomatic ties between Turkey and Ghana to foster further growth and development in various sectors.
